Ukrteplo plans to invest 2,5 billion hryvnas in the bio-CHP and the ethanol production plant in Odesa region

The Group of Companies Ukrteplo which runs the country`s largest network of biofuel boiler plants, expects to build a 12 MW CHP in Odesa region that will operate on agricultural wastes, as well as a bioethanol production plant.

Head of Odesa State Regional Administration Maksym Stepanov stated on his Facebook page that a CHP shall be finished by September 2018; a plant with a design capacity of 50 thousand tons of alcohol per year shall become operational in 2021.

The total amount of investment in the project is about 2, 5 billion hryvnas.

Press service of Odesa State Regional Administration informed an Interfax-Ukraine correspondent that the Group of Companies Ukrteplo was a project investor. The CHP and the plant would be located in Liubashiv district Odessa region. The investor would also launch production of aethereal oil.

Ukrteplo Company was founded in 2011.It currently runs the country`s largest network of biofuel boiler plants – 110 facilities in 14 regions with the total capacity of 158 MW.

The Group of Companies Ukrteplo claimed about its plans on the project implementation on the base of Zaplaza sugar plant in May 2016. At that time the company planned to equip a solar power plant along with syngas production as well.
